Working safely in the garden

Health and safety is important to us
The health and safety of gardeners and visitors to the garden is extremely important. It’s everyone’s responsibility to work safely in the garden. If you see someone working unsafely, it’s also your responsibility to talk with them and point out what they are doing. Although we are all volunteers, the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995 (Qld) is the legislation that applies to the Community Garden.

If you are involved in an incident while at the Community Garden or at an event run by the Community Garden, then you need to complete an incident report form (downloadable from Managing risks at the garden).
