Our History
In 2005, a group of next-door neighbours got together with the shared idea of turning a disused piece of land on the grounds of the Maths, Science and Technology Academy into a sustainable community garden. Many years before, the land had been a Chinese market garden, but recently the patch of 800 m2 of grassland was used for little more than residents walking their dogs.
Since then, we have turned an idea and a half-dozen keen neighbours into an organisation of 25 official members that is actively engaging and educating the local Toowong community in environmentally sustainable gardening and creek regeneration.
